"the guy in the t-shirt"
what is wrong w/ you?
i’d say you have a lot of issues
drew wants everyone to know he loves them?
who puts that as their status?
your big innocent smile
those bright hazel eyes
how were you so good at pretending to want me
when it was really just a big bunch of lies??

i just keep flashing back
to you in your living room
wearing the t-shirt w/ your last name on the back
that shirt made me picture how you must’ve been in high school

and i can’t get over that image cuz
i know i would’ve loved you had
i known you way back then and
no guy at my high school ever made me feel like that

what is wrong w/ you?
those over-the-top away messages about your last girl?
but you tell me you knew the whole time
the fit between you guys wasn’t right?
you’re still stuck on the girl before her
who broke up w/ you almost a year ago!
i bet she’s moved on and never thinks of you
yet you’re too pathetic to let go

i just keep flashing back
to you in your living room
wearing the t-shirt w/ your last name on the back
that shirt made me picture how you must’ve been in high school

and i can’t get over that image cuz
i know i would’ve loved you had
i known you way back then and
no guy at my high school ever made me feel like that

what is wrong w/ you?
you freaked out halfway through
then laid there afterwards w/ your arm around me
talking so openly, telling me your secrets
well you made yourself pretty vulnerable i thought
and it should’ve brought us closer
but you freaked out again and blew me off
like you intend for this to go nowhere

i just keep flashing back
to you in your living room
wearing the t-shirt w/ your last name on the back
that shirt made me picture how you must’ve been in high school

and i can’t get over that image cuz
i know i would’ve loved you had
i known you way back then and
no guy at my high school ever made me feel like that

what is wrong w/ you?
you’re making the biggest mistake
stop being scared and freaking get this right cuz
i miss the guy in the t-shirt
w/ his last name on the back
